The other day, I passed a sign on the road that simply said: “Stop Calling it Health Care.”
We all know what that means. The modern medical system is designed more for sick care than true health. It treats symptoms rather than addressing the root causes of disease. And now, we’re at a point in history where we are the sickest we have ever been.
For the past decade, it has been my mission to offer an alternative.
How My Journey Began
Ten years ago, my mom passed away after years of suffering in the modern medical system from a preventable disease. It was a moment that shattered me, leaving me lost and searching for something—anything—that made sense. I didn’t know where to begin, so I left the U.S. for Costa Rica. My only plan? To surf.
Surfing had been my spiritual practice for as long as I could remember. It was my connection to nature, my refuge, and the only place I truly felt close to God. What I didn’t realize then was that this trip would become the catalyst for a profound transformation.
What followed was a deep dive into spiritual teachings, natural health, and regenerative agriculture. I studied everything I could, from ancient healing traditions to the impact of modern toxins. The more I learned, the more I understood that the way we live today is directly responsible for the skyrocketing rates of disease. The answer wasn’t another pill or procedure—it was a complete shift in how we think about health.
A Dream That Became Reality
Along this journey, I also discovered something fundamental about myself: beauty is one of my core values. I want to create beauty in the world—not just in art, but in the way we live. My dream became clear: I wanted land. A space in nature where people could heal, where food could grow abundantly, and where true wellness could thrive.
Then, shortly after the 10-year anniversary of my mom’s passing, something incredible happened. I opened Zillow just to browse—and the very first listing that popped up was the perfect piece of land. It had everything I had dreamed of: natural springs, a south-facing slope, and optimal growing conditions for food. Within days, I had an offer accepted, financing secured, and a closing date set. The process unfolded so effortlessly that it felt like a divine gift.
On Valentine’s Day, I officially closed on the property. The symbolism wasn’t lost on me. I’ve always thought I needed a partner to take on a project of this scale, but here I am—doing it on my own. No partners, no investors. Just faith and a vision.
The Birth of Sanctuary 1 Pollock
While I’m starting this journey alone, I know I am not truly alone. With the grace of God and the support of my community, I believe this dream will become a reality. And today, I want to share that vision with you.
Sanctuary 1 Pollock will be a place where people can step away from the chaos of modern life and reconnect with themselves, nature, and true health. Within the next couple of years, I plan to create a space where guests can embark on their own personal wellness journeys—because healing isn’t just about the body. It’s about mind, body, and spirit.
Mind: True healing starts with belief. It requires knowledge, self-awareness, and the ability to quiet the mind through meditation, presence, contemplation and reflection.
Body: We must eliminate toxins from our environment, food, and personal care products while nourishing ourselves with real food, sleep, and movement.
Spirit: Our connection to God, the universe, and our own emotional well-being is a vital part of health. Science now confirms what ancient wisdom has always known—our emotions impact our physical health.
The Path Forward
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that healing doesn’t happen in a doctor’s office—it happens when we pause, step outside, and reconnect with the natural world.
Sanctuary 1 Pollock is just the beginning. My hope is that this project not only provides a space for healing but also inspires others to rethink what health really means.
If this vision resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Your words of encouragement, shared wisdom, and prayers mean more than you know. Even sending positive energy can make all the difference.
I look forward to the journey ahead—and one day, welcoming you to Sanctuary.
